About me

About me / The Practitioner / Qualifications

I graduated from the London College of Homeopathy in 1987 and have been practicing in Essex for over twenty five years. After my initial years in  practice I decided to embark on further studies and gain deeper understanding of Homeopathic philosophy and graduated from the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies postgraduate course in 1996, becoming a Practitioner of Classical Homeopathy [PCH].

To support my homeopathic practice I completed the Diploma in Pyschodynamic Counselling graduating from Writtle Pastoral Foundation* in 1997. [*now known as Chelmsford Counselling Foundation]

In addition to my Homeopathic practice I offer individual counselling and I find that my counselling experience complements my homeopathic practice.

Continuing Professional Development

I am passionate about learning and see CPD as a vital aspect of my practice. Hence, I attend regular seminars and courses to help keep me up-to-date with new information and professional developments. I also regularly meet with other colleagues to share information and for mutual support.

Throughout my years in practice I have had regular ongoing supervision which I find invaluable and which gives me the opportunity to work alongside professional colleagues, which in turn helps me to provide the best possible care for you as my patient.

Supervision training was an integral part of my joining the Society of Homeopaths Registration team in 2002, and added to my role as an Assessor, and Mentor for newly qualified homeopaths. I continued to be part of the Society's Registration team until 2013 and still keep in touch with recent developments regarding Homeopathic registration and the wider regulation of Homeopathy in the UK.
I have supervised homeopaths and other health professionals for many years – and continue to offer both individual and group supervision.

Group Facilitation

During my training I became aware that many of my most powerful learning experiences occurred whilst working as part of a group process. This realisation inspired me to train with the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) in London. I completed the IGA Foundation Course in 2004 and feel this has substantially aided my counselling and supervisory practice.

In addition to offering supervision for groups and individuals, I conducted Experiential Groups for Ipswich Concern counselling students as an integral part of their training courses.

Family Constellations

Since 2004 I have been especially inspired by the work of Bert Hellinger and  Family Constellations.  I find this way of working fascinating and a powerful way to release past traumas, especially deep emotions and behavioural patterns that seem specifically connected to a family member, or ancestral traits.

Having experienced significant personal benefit through working with Family Constellations both in the Netherlands and the UK I now offer Constellation workshops in Essex and Suffollk for anyone interested in this work either for personal benefit or as a health care professional - or both!
